Dunedin this day. Members of the new Ministry are engaged arranging the necessary preliminaries connected witn the taking over of their portfolios, allocation of i-ooms and secretarial appointments. Mr Myers, Minister of Customs and Munitions, is occupying the rooms hitherto occupied by the Hon. R. H. Rhodes; W. Crow, who has been private secretary to the Hon. Rhodes for the past" three years, now becomes secretary to Mr Myers. The control of the' Customs Department which has been administered by the Hon. Herries since March will be taken over by Mr Myers to-morrow. Sir J. G. Ward. Minister of Finance, Mr Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr J. A. Hanan, Minister of Education, and I)r McXab, Minister of Justice, are expected in "Wellington in a day or two. W. I). S. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture and Mines, leaves on a visit to Gisborne but returns to Wellington about the end of the week. The Prime Minister stated in the House of Representatives that before, parliament dispersed the question of national registration would be dealt with.
The police in Dunedin have received instructions from Ihe Commissioner at Wellington that all current raffles in connection with the Otago Queen Carnival are to be wound up with despatch and that no new ones are to be started.
