Proposal to Establish a Dairy Factory.

An effort is about to be made by a local syndicate to establish a dairy factory at the Head of Lake. All those interested in such an industry have been circularised and the promoters will visit the Head of Lake on Friday next with the object of further prosecuting their aims. The Htad of Lake has for many years been talked of as a very suitable locality for dairying and it seems that it is only necessary for the owners of cattle to guarantee a certain amount of suppoit to make the venture a Buccess. Of course this is dependent on a ready market for the products turned out of the factory ; but there may be no fear on this score provided these are of good quality and equal to the imported article. We would earnestly recommend the proposal to the establishment of a dairy factory for the favorable consideration of settlers at the Head of Lake, not only for their own benefit but for the good of the whole district.
