Barley—Good malting from 4s 61 to ss, pearling, 4j feed barley 3s 6d to 3a 9J. Ryecorn.—3s 9J. to 4i. Maize—ss 6d. Prussian Blue Peas from 6s to 6s 6d per bushel; partride peas to 4«. Chaff—Prime bright heavy to £4 10s; inferior £3 sacks extra. Turnips—3ss (bags in.) Carrots —60s to 60s per ton. Clover Hay.—£4 10a. Stron&ch, Morris and Co, Ltd., report for week euded 21 st May, as fallows : Fat Sheep.—There were 2860 sheep penned yesterday. There was very little demand and sheep all round showed a decline of from Is 6d to 2s per head. Bejt wbthers brought from 19a to 22s 3d, extra prime to 25s 9d, medium to good 17s to 18«, best ewes 13s to 15s 6J, extra to 17s 91, medium to good 10s to)l2s, light 9s 6d. Pat Lamb-.—There was a yarding of 1000. Best lambs brought from 15* 91 to 17s , extra to 19s, medium to good 14s to 15s 6d, light Us to 13s. Fat rattle. —There was a very large yardinn of 233 heid, the majority being medium weight steers and heifers. Good cattle sold nt about last week's rates, bat unfinished showed a decline of from 15s to 20a per head. Hides—We held our fortnightly sale on t'ie 16th inat. when we submitted a medium ciUlcgue. We had uo stout (extra) hides oo offer, but we sold one 63>b hide at 7<i per lb and *everal lines from 6§d to 6st. Our top price for cow hides was 4£d. LATE COMMERCIAL GORE HOUSE BAZAAR. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our weekly sale at the above yards on Saturday before a good attendance. As was only to be expected after the previous Saturday's big sale, the entry was not a large one, only 15 horses being forward, mostly aged and inferior sorts, which are almost unsaleable. A splendid big 6yr old gelding was offered on account of Mr Geo. Flett, of Gore, which, after great competition, found a purchaser at J545. Enquiries are constantly being made for springcart horses suitable for town and dairy work. Harness horses are selling well up to J5lB, and hacks to almost the same money. A large quantity of second hand harness met with gooi sale.

McKAY BROS.' REPORT, Messrs McKay Bros, report the following sales on Saturday:— Poultry.—lß6 penned. Hens 9d to Is Bd, cockerels Is 5d to 2s, ducks 2s to 2s 3d, geese 3s 6d to 4s.
