A novel sight was witnessed by a number of from Cooloongatta Beach, Dangar Bay, N.S.W. The water was greatly perturbed through a shark and a porpoise fighting. The latter got into shallow water, and became stranded. It was captured. It was discovered that the shark had bitten the porpoise badly in a number of places. A shot-gun was discharged at the shark, which disappeared.
