Dr Leith Napier and Dr Smith have been struck off the British Medical Association 1 * list because they accepted appointments in Adelaide Hospital to fill posts of doctors who went out on strike. Not much social* ism in this. It is time, writes the 'Masterton Star, that the insurance companies, or those in whose interest fire enquiries are particularly held, were called upon to pay jurymen at fire inquests. On a recent Monday afternaon six jurymen sat shivering in the Mas* terton Courthouse for over two hours, trying to solve the mystery surrounding the destruction of a 25-year-old stable, and after a fruitless attempt they were discharged with the thanks of Her Gracious Majesty. Little warmth to the stomach this ! Bishop Glennon (R.C.) of Kansas City declined to offer prayers for the Queen in it's 'request He response to the Vice said : " I shall order no prayers for Knglond's Queen in onr churches. More, I shall if necessary expressly prohibit such players in all churches in this diocese. Oar people have no occasion to invoke special blessings on Queen Victoria. As a good woman, we admire her; as a Queen we have no prayers to offer for her." A GOOD LETTER. From the Clkbk or ths Circuit Court. Fernandia, Fla., Feb. 28, 1808. Mr J. George Suhrer, Druggist, City. Dear George Please, send e bottle of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. I would not feel easy if I knew there was none of this valuable Remedy in the house. I have given it a fair test and oonsider it one ot the very best remedies for croup that I have ever fouod. One dose has always been sußcient, although I use it . freely. Any cold my children contract yields very readily to this medicine. I can oonscienfiAjrty recommend it for croup and colds in children, Yours respectfully, Gw>, & Woi||| Sold by L. fiotop. Ctawb S
