The first balloon 0.-n i.t wa? mndo in 1798. The first telescope was used in Ergland in 1608. The first watches were made in Neuremberg in 1-177. Tbe first newspaper advertisement appeareo in 1652. Glass windows were firßt introduced into Ergland in the eighth century. The first telegraphic in3trument was successfullyoperated by S. P. B. Morse, the inventor, in 1835, though its utility was not demonstrated to the world until 1845.
