GUIDE FOR TOURISTS TO MARTIN'S BAY.
(TO THE F.PITOR Of THE LAKF. WAKATIT MAIL.)
Sir.—Will you, through the facilities afforded by the columns of your »e\t issue, permit me to l#ear testimony to the sterling qualities of one James Roliertson, of Martin's Bay, West Coast, who, acting as a guide to me from Big Bay by the Hollyford atvl Lake Harris under circumstances tho nicst difficult and trying (namely, three days and nights' rain ami an impenetrable and wretched track), proved himself a bushman of undoubted ability, withal courteous and considerate. lam induced to make this public recognition of hi; services, as from enquiries made to me on the trip from the Head of the Lake on ."utnrday last, I infer that very little is known by the travelling public of the marvels of Nature beyond the dividing range, and how comparatively easy access to them is made by securing the services of such a guide.—l aiu, et:.,
