MOBE BUSHRA.NGING EXPLOITS*—TWO MEN BHOT.
The Argus of the 26th ultimo has the following telegraphic news from Sydney:— Gilbert, O'Meally, Hall, Burke, and Vane have stuck-up three troopers near Carcoar, and have taken their arms, horses, and accoutrements. Troopers are specially sent to capture the bushrangers. On Tuesday night, Mr. Wilding, of Burrowa, shot one bushranger dead, and mortally wounded another, who attempted sticking him up. Jamieson and Daley, bushrangers, have been convicted at Goulhurn.
On the night of the 23rd, they robbed Stephen's store at Caloola, taking away a quantity of goods, and destroyed the remainder of the stock.
The police have discovered a plant containing 2000 notes belonging to the Joint Stock Bank, which Lowry took from the Mudgee mail. The Rockhampton (Queensland) papers treat the reported goldfield as a hoax.
