CENTRE CHALLENGE BADGES. Tho I'angiora holders of the centre jink badges—Arclidall, Clark, Watkins and GibbsJordan—met a challenging rink from the Papanni Club, comprising Quigley, Banks, Daniels and Pool, yesterday afternoon. A close game resulted in tho badges/ bring retained at Itangiorn. At tho end of the seventh head, K&ngiora. had eight points and Papanui one-. On the fourteenth head the Rangicra score was 15, Papanni 9. Itangiorn. added four in tho next two heads. Their opponents then scored on four heads in succession, receiving 1,2, o and 2, making the total 19 all on tho twentieth head. In the- last head, the Papanni load placed one within nine inches of kitty, hut the Rangiora second Tested his last bowl half an inch nearer, and neither being hotter, Rangiora won by a narrow margin.
