Acceptances for the first day of the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting will close at noon to-day. Tho Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting should have opened yesterday, but rain caused a postponement. This will mean carrying the meeting into next week, an arrangement which will interfere with the plans of those Canterbury sportsmen who contemplated seeing’ two clays’ trotting in Auckland and then getting hack for tho opening of the Canterbury Park Trotting Chib’s meeting on Saturday.
