SYDNEY, December 28. Notwithstanding the recommendation of the Transport 'Workers’ Federation, it is understood that the strike will not bo declared off until after tho New Year. A section of the Trades Hail officials involved in the strike intend asking Air Hughes to appoint a special tribunal oil flic same lines as tho coal tribunal to determine the issues. It is estimated that twenty thousand are directly unemployed throughout the Commonwealth ns a result of tho strike.
