SEAMEN'S CONFERENCE.

The Seamen's International Conference discussed an eight-hour day, which was generally approved, but there was considerable dissension over the proposed forty-eight-hour week. Tho British delegates demanded Sundays entirely off. The Anglo-American delegates differed regarding a sailor's right to leave his ship at any port.
