JtENOWN v. CANTERBURY. On the-oval at Lancaster Park this afternoon, tho officers of H.lf.S. Renown will play a representative Canterbury team. The visitors are etateel to be an excellent combine ation, several of tho team having participated iu big county and university matches in, England. It is anticipated that the visiting tcim will give an exhibition of stick play seldom witnessed in New ZeaJand.. 'i'he Can tor bury eleven is considered strong, and a keen game is assured. The visiters will arrive at 2.20 p.m. from Lyttelton, and be conveyed by motors to the Park, where the game will commence at three o'clock. An invitation to be present is extended to ail officers and men of the Renown'. LADIES' HOOKEY. The draw for the first round of the ladies' hoclcoy competitions, to commence on Saturday, is as follows: Seniors—Oxford Torace v, Ngaio; Teehni cal Coilego v. Sydenham; Digby's v.
