The Earl of Meath writes to the editor of the " Lyttelton Times," under date London, March 16:— Sir,—As "Empire Day," May 24, will this year be the first which has occurred since Peace was signed at Versailles on Juno 28. 1919, it is to bo hoped that efforts will be made to celebrate the occasion in a manner worthy of the great issues which were won for the world through the victory of tho Allies over the atrocious German conspiracy to enslave mankind- As deputychairman of tho Empire Movement Committee I appeal to all local and educational authorities in New Zealand to consider how they may best take tho necessary action in tho matter.
