As a result of continued representations to the Commonwealth by the Prime Minister permits have been granted for shipment of a further considerable supply of superphosphates to merchants m tlio Dominion. A* cable received by Mr Massey states that the latest permits are for a quantity totalling 2300 tons. This will prove a material factor in assisting to overcome the difficulty producers have experienced in obtaining necessary supplies of this lertilsor- It is hoped that facilities for prompt shipment from Australia will lie- available. Inquiries are being made on this point.
