CHURCH ANNIVERSARY.
TRINITY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. The fifty-sixth anniversary of the Trinity Congregational Church took place on Sunday last. Tho pulpit whs oojupiod by the Rev Frank de Lisle, of Gore, and there were good congregations. Special musio waß rendered by the choir, under the leadership of Mr L. J. Milner. The soloists were Messrs James and Evans, and Misses Throp and Wardman. Mr S. C. Owen officiated at the organ. On Wednesday evening the annivorsary services were continued with a social gathering in Trinity Hall, which was well attended, Mr A. W. Boavcn occupied the chair. Stirring addresses were given by tho Rev Frank de Lisle, of Gore, on “ Church Membership, and its Responsibilities and Duties"; Rev W. 11. A. Vickery, "The Church”; tho Rev Clydo Carr, “ Tho Claims of Church Membership.” Mr Walter Wilkinson, honorary socrotsrv, and Mr C. 11. Bryant, treasurer, also spoke. Kindly references were made to Mr James Boot. Mr Pellott and Miss Lancaster, who were absent through illness. It was agreed that the secretary should oonvey the "■rootings of tho church liy letter to each. "During the evening a programme of music was contributed by Mrs Buitowb, Messrs E. , Windßp&ar, F.
