STEAMER ON FIRE.
[Per Press* Association.] AUCKLAND.-March 0. A fire broke out yesterday in a spar© bqpker on tho steamer Admiral Codrington, lying at tho Central wharf. Water was pumped on the burning coal, and part of the coal in the bunker was discharged, until two men were overcome by tho fumes. After that electric fattS were used ,to eletfir away the fumes. The ooal is now being discharged, and tho hose is being played on what remains in the bunker. No further danger is anticipated.
