IN CHAMBERS.

A sitting of the Supreme Court in Chambers was held before his Honor Mr Justice Herdman yesterday. In Wright, Stephenson and Co. ▼. the owner of the schooner Oakland, claim for £4003, damage to cargo, Mr Harper, for plaintiffs, moved for rn order for pleadings to be filed. Mr Richmond, for defendants, consented, and an order was made.' Mr Harper moved for the hearing of Ernest Wendt and other witnesses for plaintiff and defendant, who cannot attend the trial before the vessel leaves. The registrar was authorised to hear the evidence on a date to be fixed. In the estate of Thomas Keny. deceased, Fairlie, letters of administration, with will annexed, were grants ed on the motion of Mr Harper. A motion by Mr Ross, for an order confirming registrar's report and allowing executors' commission in the estate of John Power, deceased, was granted. In John Hancock v. Sarah Hancock, in divorce, petitioner was ordered to find security for wife's costs, £3O, Lefor July 31, 1919. Mr Cuningham appeared, for petitioner arid Mr Flesher for respondent and co-respondent (Arthur Young). In Joseph Taylor v. A. J. O'Malley, an order for stav of proceedings was granted on condition that defendant placed with plaintiff's solicitor the sum of £IOOO within a week. The question of costs was reserved. Mr Hoban appeared in support on behalf of defendant, and Mr Flesher for plaintiff. Orders were made granting leave to exercise power of sale in Mary C. Bates v Beatrice Keith and others (Mr Bates) and Catherine Penrce v. D. B. Grant (Mr Lucas).
