The United Press Washington correspondent states that tho final election returns show that tbe Senate is composed of forty-nine Republicans and forty-seven Democrats, and the House of Representatives of 239 Republicans, 193 Democrats, pne Independent, one Socialist and one Prohibitionist. Woman suffrage was instituted by two States and prohibition by four States. Twenty-nine Republican State Governors and nine Democratic State Governors were elected.
