GENERAL ELECTION. FIXED FOR DECEMBER 14. LABOUR PARTY WITHDRAWS FROM COALITION. (Received November 15, 8.40 p.m.) LONDON, November 14. At a conference of the Labour Party at Westminster many important questions were discussed, including the party's policy and whether it should continue to support the Government. It also was decided to demand direct Labour representation at the Peace Conference. Mr M'Quirk presided, and declared that the election was' an attempt at jockeying in order to give the Government a now lease of life. The conference rejected a proposal to participate in the coalition until peace was signed by 1,844,000 against 891,000, and decided by 2,117,000 against 810,000 to withdraw from the coalition at the prorogation. Mr Bonar Law stated in the House of Commons'that the general election had been fixed for December 14. "The Times" Service. LONDON, November 14. The Minister of Labour announces that general arrangements are being pressed forward to repatriate the Dominions' workmen who came for war work. They will remain at work as long as it is available; after that they will receive unemployment payment until repatriated. SOLDIERS' GRAVES, COMMISSION AT WORK. (Received November 15, 8.40 p.m.) LONDON, November 14. The War Office announces that it is impossible for some time to permit civilians to visit soldiers' graves in France and Belgium. The War Graves Commission is engaged marking graves and constructing cemeteries at ail the theatres of war.
