Router's Takkgnuns.
LONDON, November 14,
In the House of Commons, in the debate on a vote of credit, Mr Astor, Secretary of tho Food Ministry, said that the danger of the American Meat Trust was far greater than was realised. It was a danger to all importing countries. It had branches in the Argentine, Australia and New Zealand, and it controlled 50 per cent of the available importable world's supplies of meat. There was going to'be a real meat shortage in Europe, but he believed that the Inter-Allied Food Council would bo stronger than the Meat Trust, and would be able to dictate to the Trust.
