Tho Putiki, which is at present undergoing her annual overhaul at Wellington, is expected to bo ready to come off tno slip by the end of tho week. She will load Duijediii cargo at Wellington on Monday. _ The Kara loft Wellington yesterday for Tarakohe, where she will take in a full cargo of cement for Lyttelton. She is due hero on Friday, and will tail tho following day for Wellington.

The Wakatu is timed to leave Wellington to-night for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. SIIO is due here on Thursday night, and will leave for Kaikoura again on Friday night. The auxiliary schooner Gisborne (Captain Harming) has had a severe buffeting, state 3 tho Kaikoura correspondent of tho “ Lyttelton Times.” She left Wellington on July 29 for Dunedin, but, though having several times got well towards Pegasus Bay, was on her seventeenth day out sheltering under Kaikoura Peninsula. Some of her sails had boon blown to ribbons, and she had run out of oil. Supplies were obtained at Kaikoura, and tho .vessel was to resume her voyage yesterday. Prior to calling at Kaikoura she had sheltered in both Port Underwood and at Cape Campbell.
