AUSTRALIA HOUSE.
OPENED BY THE KING.. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, LONDON, August 3. The King oponed Australia House, in the Strand, as tho Commonwealth headquarters in London. There was an imposing ceremony, great crowds being present, including soldiers and wounded men. Suitable speeches were delivered l bv Mr W. M. Hughes and others. When complete the buildings will cost approximately £1,000,000. The newspapers praise the* architectural features of the building, particularly the uso of Australian materials They declare that it is the most notable public office in tho metropolis.
