NORTH CANTERBURY GUN CLUB.

Tha North Canterbury Gun Club held ft sperrow shoot on Saturday afternoon for a double-barrelled Bowhill shotgun, valued at Ifi guineas, givon by the club, as ft first pxizo, £2 10s second an J £i third prize. The match was a twelvo-bird one, the ent.ranoo fee £l, and there were twent)'-*even competitors. J. drilling (20vds). J. Dron (16yds), Pete.r M'Cracken (19yds), Allan Kerr (21yds), O. Nelmes (17vds>, D. F. Dennchy (19vds), W. Read (22yds), O. Jamieson (18yds), W. Peck (22yds) and F. Prsoee (21yds) each killed ten birds. In the shoot off Jamieson won first prizo with five birds, Dwan (four birds) being second, and Reid and Preeco with three birds each divided third money. A ten-shilling five-bird pigoon, sweep was then phot off by twenty-four competitors. It being too dark to finish, the result was decided in the fourth round. G. Cudby (24yds), J. Garland (21vds), R. H. Chapman (21 yds), E.- Hammond (27yds), D. F. Dennehy (24vds), W. Chisno-1 (24yds) and C. Jameson (24yds) killed four birds each and divided the stuko. Other scorers were:—J. Skilling (22vds), G.
