LINSEED OIL.

WELLINGTON, December 12. Tho Hon A. M. Myers has been ad« vised by the High Commissioner that he is unablo to secure at present the release of any quantity of linseed oil for export from tho United Kingdom. As far ns tho High Commissioner can judge, the situation with regard .to supplies of linseed oil is unlikely to improve in the United Kingdom, therefore the suggestion is made tnat possibly New Zealand merchants can se-l euro supplies from India or America, ; where, it is believed, stocks may bo ■ held. Mr Divers says that in tile event \ of merchants making a purchase from i either of those countries, he, as Min- i ister in charge of Munitions and Sup- T plies, will bo pleased to assist ns far i as possible in obtaining release and ; shipment if necessary. , !
