LAW TENNIS.
KAIAPOI CLUB. The Kaiapoi Tennis Club had a very successful opening of its season on Saturday. The function took the form of a gift afternoon for soldiers. Thoro was a large attendance of members and visitors, who were entertained >at afternoon tea by the preaidjeht, Mrs A. Pearc,e. Mr A. P. Ro'llinaon, on behalf of the president, welcomed the visitors and declared the season open. games were played and an cnjoytio'lo time was spent.
