A “ Lyttelton Times ” reporter was informed yesterday that an important report was submitted by the board on Monday, and the general report of the board’s work up t-o date has been completed and will be in t-ho hands of the Government before the end of this week. PORT TRAIN SERVICE. Further representations by tile board to the Government have been made in reference to tho Lyttelton train trouble, giving further evidence of definite instances of delays which have taken place in consequence of the present unsatisfactory conditions existing at the port. . . , r The Canterbury Commissioner, Mr J. A. Frostick, has done everything that is possible so far as the Efficiency Board is concerned, having kept the Government advised to date as to delays, names of steamers, etc.
