Wednesday, July 11. AFTERNOON SITTING. Tho Hons© met at '2.30 p.m. “HANSARD.”

Mr Wright brought down a report from the Printing and Reporting Debates Committee which recommended a drastic curtailment of reports of proceedings of the House in “ Hansard ” on account of tho shortage of paper.

The debate was, on the motion of the Hon G. W. Russell, adjourned for a week. The chairman of the same committee also brought down a. report recommending a reduction in the number of copies of ” Hansard ” supplied to members. Tlie debate continued till 5.30, when the motion was talked out.

EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30 p.m ADDRESS-IN -REPLY.

Tho debate on the Addrcss-in-Rcply was resumed. (The speeches are .reported in another column.) Mr T. H. Field (Nelson) moved the adjournment of the debate, and the House rose at 10.45 p.m.
