Captain Wvndham Portal, who commands the Household Cavalry Infantry , Battalion, is heir to a baronetcy with ) a curious ancestry. The Portals are Spanish by origin, and migrated to Languedoc at tfie end of the eleventh century, becoming great lords in Tonlouse and Southern Fiance.
