Mr Pearco estimates That 'lie recent call up for training proclamation and the camps, not including the taking of the referendum, cost £6oo*ooo. The Government had undertaken to send 450 munition workers to England, costing the Commonwealth £22,000 per annum for. allowances to dependents and travelling expenses, not including wages.
