THE PALOONA'S CONTINGENT. [Per Press Association'.] WELLINGTON, October 3. The nominal roll of details returning to New Zealand, transferred from the Australian troopship Ascanius to the Paloona, due at the Bluff on October 9, is as follows: Canterbury Mounted Rifles—Corporal Francis Joseph Hanron, station manager ; John Archibald Brown, driver; Frank Culvcrhouse, farmer; Leslie Spencer Goodail, farmer; Cecil "William Gray, labourer; Christmas Jones, farmer ; Hector M'Kenzie Sinclair, shepherd. Returning for commission—Sergeant Douglas Deans, farmer. New Zealand Mounted Rifles—Edward Sealc Byers. butcher. Zealand Fiold Engineers —Sergeant Manson Waterson Chant, postmaster ; Frank Wilton Billett, carpenter ; Leonard Cecil B. Loveridge, telegraphist ; Frederick Charles Middleton, telegraphist. New Zealand Rifle Brigade—John Dwyer, civil servant; Donald Macintosh, miner. Army Service Corps—Thomas William, traveller. Returning for commission—New Zealaud Field Engineers: Sergeant William Austin, clerk. Returning on duty—New Zealand Veterinary Crops: Captain AV. G. C. Smith, veterinary surgeon.
