MOTOR SMASH NEAR CHEVIOT

FOUR MEN INJURED. As Mr Jack Fleming was returning from Amberley to Cheviot on Monday in his car a tyro burst, and tho car overturned. Messrs AV. Bruce, B. Martin and T. Sullivan, who wero also in the car, were thrown clear, but Mr Fleming was pinned under tho car. Mr Laugesen, who was ahead, noticed tho lights go out and went back and helped to extricate Mr Fleming, who was unconscious. Mr Bruce was also unconscious, and Messrs Sullivan and Martin were suffering considerably from shock and bruises. They wero brought on to Cheviot and attended by Dr Saunders. Yesterday morning Mr Bruce and Mr Fleming, who had sustained a broken rib, had regained consciousness
