WELLINGTON, June 19. The City Licensing Committee, at an adjourned meeting, decided to adjourn the application for a renewal in the case of the New Zealander Hotel (Mrs B. M. Davey) for three months. If the police report then shoxild be unfavourable the application Trill be refused. Regarding the Imperial Hotel a renewal to the present licensee (T. S. M'Guire), Tvould be refused, and the application adjourned; till next quarter session, on condition that the present holder should transfer the license within twenty-one days. In. the case of the Thistle Hotel .(William Hannafin) the renewal application was adjourned for* three months. Application for a renewal for the Central Hotel (S. JWhiteford) was adjourned for ten days to enable repairs to b© carried out.
