The Commissioner of Lands, Mr W. H. Skinner, states that he made an inspection of the Cheviot Estate last week. Tlie land was looking remarkably well after the recent rains. It had made a great recovery from tho long, spell of dry weather whioh has just been experienced. . , ~ >.
