SPREYDON BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION.

At the monthly meeting of the Spreydon Burgesses' Association th« question of amalgamation with Christchurch was discussed for the second time. The chairman, Mr A. Nicol., in introducing the subject, said that the association'should go into it very fully before giving the public a lead After a long discussion the feeling of the meeting apparently leaned towards amalgamation, and it was agreed to write to Councillors A. S. Taylor and I>. G. Sullivan and ask them to address a public meeting in connection with the association. V deputation was appointed to wait on* Mr H. (i. Ell, M.P.. regarding the extension of the tram service to Central Spreydon. The secretary was instructed to interview Mr D". Sykes regarding promised information bearing on the overjap section on Lincoln Road. Mr D. Maclanaghan moved that the secretary should write to the Borough Council regarding keeping separate accounts for each ward, as that course was held out as one of the advantages when the ward system was introduced.
