QUEEN ELECTION

SOLDIERS' GROUP. TERRITORIAL SECTION. A meeting of the Territorial Section of the Soldiers' Group was held in the Officers' Club room, King Edward Barrac.vS, on Wednesday. Colonel G. »• Smith was in the chair, and about fifty members were present. Lieutenants 1:1. S. Hobbs and C. H. Millar were appointed honorary secretaries. It was resolved to co-operate with the Timber, Building and Furniture Section in running a jumble wile in the barrack.?, and that every Territorial should bo asked to contribute at least one article for sale.

It was reported that preparations were well in hand for tho military tattoo, and battalion parades had been ordered for the next four Saturday afternoons, commencing on January 29, for that purpose. It was stated that volunteers were needed for tho woodwork class, under Captain J. Midgley, at which timber and tools would bo provided for the making of furniture for disposal at the jumble sale. :
