FATALLY CRUSHED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 2S. Percival Henry Williams died in the hospital as a result, of injuries received while working in the hold of the steamer Tarawera. Joyce, who returned from the front by the Willochra in November and died on Wednesday in a boardinghouse in Maclacean Street. Evidence showed that deceased was a fairly heavy drinker and complained frequently of being unveil, also of pain from a wound m his =ido Medical evidence showed that deceased bad no wound, but a. sear, probablv caused by an operation for appendicitis. Both lungs were extremelv congested and the heart was considerably enlarged, weighing 28ob. The cause of death was heart failure in consequence of enlargement, coupled with congestion of the lungs. A verdict was returned accordingly.
