ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
SERIOUSLY INJURED. [Pbk Prass Association.]
WELLINGTON, December Iho 'A woman named Mrs M. Mitchell, of Invercargill, was knocked down bT a train at Petone this afternoon and so seriously hurt that her recovery is doubtful. The injured woman is about sixty years of age. She was on a visit to Petone and was crowing from one platform to the other when a speciil train with two engines ran through the station and knocked the woman down, breaking her arm and log, and she also received severe injury to the head. She was removed to tha hospital.
An elderlv man named! William He>. t king, residing at 47, Shake»peM<» Road, was riding a bicycle in Colombo Street on Saturday, about 10.35 p.m., when he was run into by a motor-cyole. Be was admitted to the Hospital tm|» fering from several broken ribs and *}, bad shaking. ' A
