REGATTA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Regatta Club was held _ last evening; present—Messrs F. D. Kestoven (in the chair), F. S. Otley, "W. Duggan, J. Fry, H. H. Smith, R. E. Nightingale, A. T. Evans, H. H. Berry, A. W. "Whitfield, G. Ebert and M. S. Gentles (secretary). The balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £3O Is 4d, was adopted. The following officers were elected: — President, Air F. D. Kestoven; vicepresidents. the Hon R. H. Rhodes, the Mayor of Christchurch, the Mayor of Lyttelton and Messrs R. E. Nightingale, H. H. Smith, N. L. Macbeth, R. E Lake, "W. Woods, "W. Cleary, A. ; Rhind, G. Humphries, R. G. Flemming, Solomon and A. E. Craddock; auditor, Mr F. E. Wriglit ; honorary secretary and treasurer. Air M. S. Gentles. Messrs Kesteven , and Nightingale were appointed a sub-committee to arrange for the transport of boats and passengers for the annual regatta, and were instructed to report at the next meeting. It was decided to hold xi rneetmg on January 5 to draw up a programme and decide definitely the place at which the regatta is to be held.
