The annual break-up of the St Michael's Church Day School was held on Monday evening in tho Parish Hall. In spite of tho inclement weather tho hall was well filled with parents and friends of the scholars. The acting vicar, the Rev C. G. Mutter, presided and distributed the prizes. Ho referred to the excellent reports received from the Government inspectors and the diocesan examiner in religious knowledge. ■ The children of the upper standards had attended the Technical College for instruction in woodwork and cookery, and the reports in those subjects were highly satisfactory.
