SWIMMING.
KAIAPOI CLUB. The fifth annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Amateur Swimming Club was held last night, Mr T. Hoskin presiding over an attendance of about thirty members. The committee presented a satisfactory report, which showed an increase of membership by about forty. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £3 ss. The report and balancesheet were adopted. The following officers were elected : —Patron, the Hon D. Buddo; president, Mr J. W. Barnard; vice-presi-dents, Hon R. Moore, Messrs J, A. Kissling, C. H. Wright, W. E. Bate, T. Douds, J. H. Blackwell, R. Wylie and H. A. Cooper; captain, Mr T. Hoskin; vice-captain, Mr W- Stark; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Wylie; club judges, Messrs H. A. Cooper, E. Capstick, S. Chamberlain, J. Bryden, and W. Hart; committee, Messrs E. Capstick, J. Bryden, H. Fisher, W. Fisher, S. Chamberlain, J. H. _ Williams, J. Purdie, R. Wylie, junr., Misses M. M’Gregor, K. Wells, D. Pearce, P. Pearce, H. Pearce, R. Forrest, N. Haworth and D. Haworth, and Mesdames T. Hoskin and J. M’Garry; starter, Mr J. Bryden; check starter, Mr J. Ycllowleos; handicapper Mr W. Stark: delegates to Centre, Messrs R. Wylie and W. Stark; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr R. Wylie. It urns decided to remit the subscriptions of members of the Expeditionary Force during their absence from tho Dominion. A resolution appreciative of the servico rendered by the late Mr J. Wylie was carried.
