FOOTBALL.
THE ASSOCIATION GAME. CUP FINALS. To-day, at Lancaster Park, the Association cup finals will be contested. There are four matches—Senior, Junior, Third and Fourth Grade —and exciting games are anticipated. Nomads (League champions) and. Sydenham (holders) will meet in the final for the English Cup, and Sydenham and Nomad Juniors will meet for the Hurley Shield. The aviation flight which was to have been given by Mr Scotland has had to be abandoned for to-day, as the machine, when being tested on Thursday, met with a mishap. Tho Canterbury Football Association is making arrangements for a flight next Saturday in conjunction with a game between Wellington and Canterbury. Wellington are looked upon as tlje cracks of the Dominion, and were , very disappointed that they could not meet Canterbury in the Brown Shield contests. NOMADS CLUB. The following are the teams selected to represent the Nomads in the finals at Lancaster Park to-day: English Cup.—Seniors against Sydenham—H. May, F. M’Donald, W. Watson, H. G. Webster, A. E. Clay (captain), L. Davies, Van Brunt, W. Howie, E. Parsons, A. Grant, R. Woods; reserves—W. G. Fullarton, T. Warburton and W. Hetrick. Hurley Shield.—Juniors against Sydenham—W. Lulham (captain), C. M’Hree, R. A. Collie, V. Main. A. M’Donald, W. Hardy, G. Baker, H. Haig, J. Budge, H. Davey and H. Parson?; reserves—D. Wilson and C. Griffiths. The games will start at 3 p.m.
