A man arrested for drunkenness yesterday, states a Press Association telegram from Timaru, was found to have in his pockets many articles of jowelWv. nlwpd to have been stolen from M'Nab's shop on Tuesday night. He had sold some ladies' gold watches in the streets for 2s. Among the passengers who arrived at Sydney recently by the Otway from London, was Mr Percy Burbidge, of Wellington, who won the Exhibition scholarship and went to Cambridge University. Mr Burbidge became seriously ill while at Cambridge, and is now on his way back to New Zealand to recuperato "his health. He will leave Sydney for Wellington by the Moeraki to-day.
