The Lord Kitchener gladioli bulbs which have bean donated to frho Poor of Great Britain and Ireland and Be.igium Relief Fund by Mr W. A. Carpenter have oome to hand, and may bo obtained from Mr Charles M. Parker (Art Gallery), together with two other vanotios, for the sum of 2s 6d At the Addington Saleyards yesterday two sheep presented by Mr F. R. H. Gardiner (Purau) were so.d by Messrs Pyne and Co., Uio proceeds to be donated to the British and BolfTian Food Fund, and sheep was re-sold no less than thirty-fivo times, local butchers being the principal buyers, at 20a to 455.

TO PROVIDE CLOTHING. MEETING OF LADIES. A meeting in connection with the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland and Belgium Relief Fund was held in the Agricultural and Pastoral Association's room yesterday afternoon, about fifty .ndies being present. Dr E. G. Levinge explained that the meeting jbad been called for the purposo of forming a ladies" committee to take in hand the organisation of the clothing part of ' the fund. On the motion of Mrs F. H. Pyne, seconded by Mrs Beauohamp _ Lane, it was reBolvea—" That it is desirable to .co-operate

in the movement of providing clothing, eto.i for the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland and Belgium Relief Fund and •in other ways, and that a committee be set up for that purpose." On the motion of the chairman the following were elected to the general committee: Mesdamca Ho. land, Wigram, Pyre, Boyle, Allen, Stewart, Lane,. Moore, Ballin, Dalgety, Smith, Clark, Smitheon, Nairn, Pratt and Gould, and Misses Tabart and Smith and Sister Edith, with power to add to their number. A vote of thanks was passed to DrLovingo, who left tho chair. On the motion of Mrs Wigram, seconded by Mrß Boyle, Mrs Beauchamp Lane was ap-poi'-tcd to preside • ' Mrs Pratt was elected honorary secretary, and the meeting then went into committee to discuss the general organisation and ap--pointment of sub-commit'.ees.
