"MASKED ROBBERS.”

A woman, living in North Sydney, went to Woywoy for a week, and left her two sons, aged eight and ten, in charge of their father. When the mother returned, she found that the house had been ransacked, and tlie wardrobes forced, while nearly £2OO worth of jewellery and eloctro-plato was missing. Tho police were, advised, and detectives instituted an inquiry. Two blade masks and two revolvers were found under tho bed, tho circumstances pointing to an audacious- robbery.

Finger prints on the. window, howover, proved to be those of children. Questions followed, and the boys admitted their guilt, explaining that, while their father was at work, they held up the house, and removed tho valuables to a hiding-place underneath the house, where the property was found, to the delight of the owners, and tho embarrassment of the police officers.
