INSPECTORS OF FACTORIES.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 4. Several transfers of inspectors of factories will be made by the Labour Department shortly, in order to fill three vacancies which recently occurred. The positions which will be filled are those of inspector in charge in Wellington City, officer in charge of the Christchurch branch, and second inspector at Christchurch. Tho position of inspector in charge at Wellington will be filled by the promotion of Mr H. Moston, inspector at Wanganui, whoso place will he taken by Air E. Gohns, inspector at Auckland. The vacancy caused by Mr Gohns’s transfer will be filled by tho appointment of a new inspector, tho position of the officer in charge at Christchurch being filled by the promotion of the present Invercargill inspector, Air IT. B. Bower, who will be replaced by Atr G. H. Lightfoot, inspector at Timani. The vacancy at Tim or u will be filled by tho transfer of Air A. Donald, inspector at Wellington. whose place will bo taken by Mr W. Bnpley, Dunedin. The latter’s office is to be filled by the appointment of a clerk. The post of second inspector in 1 Christchurch will bo taken by Mr R. T. Bailey, of Wellington, who will be succeeded bv Air W T . Slaughter, inspector at New Plymouth. Mr J. F. Arnold, of the Dunedin office, takers charge at New Plymouth. A new junior inspector will shortly bo appointed at Dunedin.
