HITCH IN PEACE NEGOTIATIONS. CONS'ITTUTIONALISTS' DEMANDS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. WASHINGTON, June 2. A hitch has occurred in the peace negotiations, owing to the Constitutionalists' request to be included in the Conference. They point out that they expect to reach Mexico City within a week. The Huertan regime is nearing its close, and, therefore, it would be absurd for the Confer en :e to settle the question, without taking cognisance of them and their conquests. HUERTA'S CONDITIONS. (Received Juno 3, 9.50 p.m.) NIAGARA FALLS, Juno 2. The Mexican delegates to the peace conference announced that Huerta is ready to withdraw from the Presidency on condition that a£ the time of his withdrawal Mexico is politically pacified and the succeeding Government is based on the consent of the governed and the support of the public.
The mediators have decided to ask Carranza if he is agreeable to an armistice in order to secure without delay tho pacification of Mexico. The Constitutionalists learning of Huerta's decision to resign authorised a statement that anything coming from Huerta will not be considered.
