BRISBANE, Juno 3. Evidence before the Abattoirs Comnission showed that cattle were becoming scarcer in Queensland every year. Competition was much keener, and there word increased prices. ' : Mr Hood, formerly president of the Pastoralists' Association, replying to questions, said that he did not fear American competition. He thought the majority of pastoralists weloomed the Americans opening here. It meant note competition and better prices.
