DISCUSSED IN THE CANADIAN HOUSE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received June 2, 10.25 p.m.) OTTAWA, June 2. The House of Commons discussed the arrival of a shipload of Hindus at Vancouver. Mr Frank Oliver declared that the Hindus had challenged Canada, who Ought to meet the challenge- He asked the Government to enforce the section of the Immigration Act preventing the Courts dealing with immigration matters otherwise provided for. Mr Borden replied that when the time came the' section would be enforced. A Board of Inquiry had been appointed to investigate the case of each Hindu attempting to enter. Sir Wilfrid Laurier pointed out that the question was not so much keeping Canada white as preventing overwhelming economic competition. Friction between different races of the Empire was a matter mOre easily settled by diplomacy than by law. Mr Borden replied that Sir Wilfrid Laurier's own attempts to settle the question iby diplomacy had not been very successful.
