It has been empowered to dismiss officials and take measures to reassure the population, with a view to stopping the exodus. THEFT FROM MUSEUM. PARIS, June 1. Burglars smashed two cases in the Army Museum at the Hotel dos Invalides, and stole valuable weapons, including a dagger which belonged to a former Emperor of China, and was encrusted with jewels, with a hilt of jasper and scabbard of massive gold. BELGIAN ARMY. BRUSSELS, June 1. The Government is drafting a Bill to create a territorial force, increasing the Army’s war footing to six hundred thousand men. A DEBT CLEARED. LONDON, June 1. The fund opened by tho ‘‘Daily Telegraph ” has cleared tho debt of £40,000 on the Central Branch of tho Young Men’s Christian Association.
